Swims to two State Records
Congratulations to Waukesha Express Swimmer Dorothy Halmy
for her recent record breaking swims! Dorothy broke two
Wisconsin State Records at the 2010 Patriot Aquatic Club
“Ozzie Fest” Meet recently held at Stevenson High
School in Lincolnshire, IL. Dorothy’s record breaking swims
were in the 11-12 Girls 200 m Butterfly and the 11-12 Girls 1500 m
Freestyle events. She broke current Express senior swimmer, Pamela
Breitrick’s state records in both of those events.
Pamela set the state records in 2006 with times of 2:35.35 in the
200 m butterfly and 18:54.11 in the 1500 m freestyle.
Dorothy’s record breaking time in the 200 m
butterfly was 2:30.32 and in the 1500 m freestyle was
18:23.76.
