Ribbons Group

This is our entry level group. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards freestyle and 25 yards backstroke.  The Ribbons group is an introduction to competitive swimming, but is mainly an instructional group, focusing on the four competitive strokes, having fun and perfecting starts and turns.  It is recommended that swimmers attend practice 2 times per week.  Practice is offered 4 times a week for your convenience.  Swimmers are encouraged to participate in swim meets, and we offer many low stress opportunities for these young swimmers.

Ribbons Group Coaches: Bill Boldon, Sara Korotko, Kim Boldon, Lorin Kelly, Eric Dobbeck, Adam Sykes

Bronze Group

The main goal of the Bronze group is to continue to work on the four competitve strokes, making swimmers technically correct to prepare them for their future in swimming in the Silver group and beyond.  Practices are offered 4 times a week for the group, however, we recommend that swimmers attend practice 2 - 3 times per week.  Flexibility is there for you and your family so that your swimmer can attend practice as much as possible, but still maintain a balance between swimming and other activities.  Swim meet participation is continued at this level, and hopefully increased.

Silver Group

The main focus in the Silver group is to continue to work on stroke techniques by incorporating numerous stroke drills that these young swimmers will build on as they move up through the program. At this point, aerobic training starts to play a role in the training of the swimmers. These swimmers are taught that the number of practices attended does play an important role in how well the athlete will perform from meet to meet. The swimmers in this group must demonstrate the ability to perform all 4 strokes legally and are expected to do all of these during practice. The coaching staff will keep the intensity low for these swimmers and create a fun atmosphere for the swimmers. The swimmers in the Silver group should attend practice at least 3 times per week.  Practice is offered 5 times a week.

Gold Group

The swimmers in this group are being groomed to be the next senior level swimmers on the team. This group is our transition phase between age group and senior swimming. This group works out 5 times per week, so there is a considerable amount of commitment and dedication to the team and to the sport of swimming. The main goal for the coaches of this group is two fold: 1) try to correct any stroke flaws that may still exist 2) to continue to build on the swimmers aerobic base so as to assure faster swimming in the future.  Practice is offered  5-6 times per week, and swimmers are encouraged to attend at least 4 practices per week.

Senior Swimming

We have three Senior groups: Senior 1, Senior 2 and Senior Team.  The progression that we offer in Senior swimming is unparalled in the area.  We provide this progression in order to provide long term success in their swimming career.  By the time swimmers reach the Senior Team their training becomes very specialized and Coach Blaine Carlson will help develop a practice schedule that best fits the events that they compete in at meets.  The only group that has practice requirements is the Senior Team group.  Use of videotaping and underwater cameras are used regularly to aid in the continuation of stroke efficiency.

We do offer pre-competitive classes if you are not sure that your swimmer is ready or able to commit the time to our competitive swim team.

Pre Competitive Swimming Class

We have a Pre-Competitive Swimming group for children ages 5 and up that want to take a step beyond swimming lessons.  The group meets twice a week and will provide swimmers with the basics of competitive swimming; including stroke technique work with the four competitive strokes, starts and turns.  The group will have an intra-squad meet within each session.

HS Prep Class

This group is designed for swimmers 13 years and older that are going to participate on their high school swim team, but only want to commit to practicing 2 - 3 days per week.  The group will focus on the skills that will help them experience success as a high school swimmer.
